By using Trail Running Forum, you agree to be bound by the following official guidelines:

  1. Be Respectful
Treat other members with respect. Disagreements are fine; personal attacks, harassment, bullying, and excessive hostility are not.

  2. Stay on Topic
Post threads in the most appropriate forum and try to keep discussions relevant to the original topic.

  3. No Spam
Spam, repetitive advertising, affiliate-link dumping, and joining solely to promote a website, product, service, or social account are not allowed.

  4. Self-Promotion in Moderation
Sharing your own trail running content, race, website, YouTube channel, business, or project is welcome when it's relevant and contributes to the community. Don't make every post promotional.

  5. No Illegal or Harmful Content
Do not post content that encourages illegal activity, deliberately dangerous behavior, or harm to people, wildlife, trails, or public lands.

  6. Respect Trails and the Outdoors
Encourage responsible trail use. Respect closures, private property, wildlife, other trail users, and Leave No Trace principles.

  7. Keep Content Appropriate
Don't post pornography, graphic content, hate speech, or other material that is clearly inappropriate for the community.

  8. Respect Privacy
Don't post another person's private or identifying information without their permission.

  9. One Account Per Person
Don't create additional accounts to evade bans, manipulate discussions, or impersonate other members.

  10. Don't Abuse the Report System
Report posts that genuinely need moderator attention. Don't use reports simply because you disagree with someone.

  11. Listen to the Moderators
Moderators may edit, move, close, or remove content when necessary. Serious or repeated rule violations may result in warnings, restrictions, or bans.

  12. Have Fun and Talk Trail Running
Ask questions, share experiences, post race reports, discuss gear, celebrate accomplishments, and help make the forum a welcoming place for trail runners of every experience level.

Simple rule of thumb: If you're contributing to the community rather than taking away from it, you're probably good.
