Paddling

Are any of you into paddling?

Such as kayaking, canoeing, SUP, rowing, etc.

We were thinking of retiring to a lake house and getting some kayaks and paddleboards. Now, we aren’t so sure we’ll end up there because it’s so far from our daughter. I think maybe we’ll just vacation at the lake each year instead? The marinas have kayaks to rent, so that could be fun.

We have a few rental companies over here as well.

I have a big 14-foot fishing kayak I use. It’s impossible to flip, which is great, since I don’t swim very well. 😄

What kind of vehicle do you have for that to fit on for transport?

My old RAM 1500 had a bigger bed to fit it in, but it still hung out a bit.

My new RAM 1500 has a much shorter bed, so I had to get an extension system that goes into the hitch to be able to secure the kayak in place.
